FLOW Welcomes Caelyn Brintnell as our Operations Manager

We are thrilled to welcome Caelyn to the FLOW family!

Read about Caelyn and her love for the Great Lakes region. We asked her a few questions to help our community get to know the newest member of the FLOW team.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.  Where were you born, where did you grow up, what’s new in your family?

I was born in Cadillac, Michigan, and grew up in the neighboring farming town of McBain until I moved away for college. My husband grew up in the Traverse City area, so this is where we decided to plant our roots in 2020. We welcomed our daughter, Eleanor, in August of 2022 and the transition into parenthood has been so wonderful. I feel really lucky to be able to raise her in such a beautiful area!

What attracted you to FLOW?

FLOW’s mission is near and dear to my heart. I believe The Great Lakes are what make this region so special, and I felt called to help ensure they are protected for generations to come.

What connected you to the Great Lakes?

I grew up in northern Michigan so I’ve felt a deep connection to the Great Lakes since childhood. Some of my fondest memories are of times spent on Lake Michigan beaches.

Do you have a favorite place in Michigan (or the Great Lakes Basin)?

The Empire Bluff Trail. The view never gets old!

Can you share a fun fact about yourself?

I love music and have learned to play 15+ instruments since middle school.

How about a favorite Great Lakes fact?

The Great Lakes hold more than 20% of the world’s surface freshwater!
