Photographer Grant Piering, LLC is donating 50 percent of proceeds from sales of his Great Lakes surf photographs to FLOW during the month of August. … About surfing the Great Lakes, Grant writes: “Surfing here is hard. Fresh water is much less buoyant, waves are less predictable and come in quicker periods than in the sea, and it’s usually pretty damn cold. That’s what makes it all worth it when you get up on a freshwater wave.”
Higher Art Gallery is a woman/artist-owned contemporary art gallery located in downtown Traverse City. We focus on a diverse range of mediums and styles, and pride ourselves on setting ourselves apart from much of what is commonly expected from a tourist driven, “small town” gallery. Our space is also the incubator for our nonprofit arm called: “Project CivilARTzation”.
Lake Effect Co. is a lake-loving adventure brand focusing on consciously sourced clothing and accessories.
